The hyperbole wasn’t spared the lawyers representing victims call this the biggest “fraudulent transaction of assets in United States history.”

In spite of the legal jargon, J&J does not really think this bankruptcy will survive. It is however a method to try and push the $8.9 billion settlement and keep pressure on plaintiffs.

April 10 2023 Update Bloomberg has an interesting report on a brand new law of New Jersey that is shedding new light on litigation funding in the baby powder suit for class actions.
